Dr.
Rob Prewitt
A native of Fayetteville, Dr. Rob Prewitt graduated from Terry Sanford
Senior High School in 1974.
He attended the University of Kentucky for the first two years of
his undergraduate education (1974-76) where he was a member of both
the J.V. and Varsity basketball teams (ranked #2 NCAA 1974-75 season).
Dr. Prewitt transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill where he received his
B.A. in Chemistry and also Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honors (1976-78).
He remained at UNC-chapel Hill for dental school and received his
Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Omicron Kappa Upsilon scholastic
honors in 1982.
After serving three years as a general dentist in the Dental Corps
of the U.S. Navy (1982-85), stationed in San Diego CA, Dr. Prewitt
returned to UNC-Chapel Hill for specialty training in orthodontics
(until1988).
After completing his orthodontic residency in June of 1988, he
was asked to stay as part-time clinical assistant professor of the
highly esteemed UNC-Orthodontic Department, which he did for one
year while he was establishing his orthodontic practice here in
Fayetteville.

Dr.
Julia Prewitt
Dr. Julia Prewitt was born and raised in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
She is a 1980 graduate of Walton Senior High School and Salutorian
of her class.
Subsequently, she graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1984 with
a double major in biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
After a year of employment with General Electric Company in their
Technical Marketing Program, she decided to attend graduate school.
Dr. Prewitt received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1989 (Exactly
30 years after her father graduated from Dental school at Carolina!).
She completed her Orthodontic Residency in June, 1991, at Baylor
University (Dallas, Texas), and moved to Fayetteville to join her
husband, Dr. Rob Prewitt, who is a native of Fayetteville.
Dr. Prewitt takes great pride in her family and considers her greatest
achievement to be the birth of her son, in 1994.
